Mathematics
“Dimitris’ lessons are well structured, especially his presentations. You can tell he has put a lot of effort
so the teaching becomes as analytical as possible”. (Yiannis, Int. A-Level)
“I enjoyed my lessons with Dimitris; he sure knows what he’s doing. His teaching, each time, had a clear
objective — you always knew where you were walking on. Thorough when introducing a topic and
supportive all the way, Dimitris is a tutor who makes a difference”. (Nicolas, IB A&A HL)
“Besides the actual whiteboard, I loved the virtual one! Felt like being in class”. (Mihalis, KS3)
“I had a few lessons on planes and straight lines from FP4. Dimitris went through the topic meticulously
explaining every tiny detail crystal clear”. (Maria, Int. Further Maths)
“I liked how Dimitris introduced the “hat-method” for adding and subtracting fractions. It was sooo easy!
The same goes for the circumference and area of a circle”. (Sofia, KS3)
“To be honest, I thought the lessons would be boring — not a huge fan of distance learning!
Dimitris proved me wrong. His teaching is good and pleasant”. (Philip, IGCSE)
“It’s my second year now working with Dimitris. I cannot remember a single lesson where he hasn’t been
supportive or hasn’t explained the topic well”. (Artemis, European Baccalaureate)
“Very professional tutoring, no argument about it. Further to that, Dimitris will always teach you with
a smile in his face; I consider that equally important”. (Viktor, A-Level)
“I never thought that e-tutoring could be as good as learning in class. Dimitris’ lessons were of great help,
especially on vectors. I feel ready for the exams!” (Saffron, GCSE)
“Dimitris is using well elaborated power-point slides to model the examples/questions, side by side with
the virtual board — he has an excellent handwriting. His lessons are easy to follow, no tricks there”.
  (Heloise, IB A&I HL)
“Within an hour, I had learned how to add and subtract with negative numbers! After that, multiplication
and division was a piece of cake!” (Niamh, KS3)
“I followed Dimitris’ instructions to the letter (keep a folder, organise notes, deliver homework etc.)
and started gaining confidence in maths fast!” (Dani, Int. A-Level)
“Dimitris is a great tutor — he supported me in Years 10 and 11. His lessons were very elaborative
and Dimitris himself would never get tired of explaining and repeating things”. (Rachel, GCSE)
“I like the fact that Dimitris uses both the virtual board and the whiteboard to go through the questions.
He will explain in a clear way and then “save” the working out as jpeg. Having a separate folder (on your
hard disk) for each lesson is a good idea”. (Pete, A-Level)
  Biology
  “Probably best tutor I ever had! Helped me raise my grade from C to A. Very patient and organised;
has a way to make you feel at ease during lessons. If I had chosen Biology for A-Level, I would certainly
ask for her support”. (Anna, I-GCSE)
“Maria supported my two children in KS3, the whole three years, and I have nothing but positive things to
say. She knows her subject and prepares thoroughly her lessons. Not to mention her amiable character.
We continue our collaboration in GCSE”. (for Andrew and Elizabeth, KS3)
“Maria made me like Biology, which I can’t say I did before. She’s a great tutor and if you truly want to
improve your grades then Maria can help you, no doubt”. (Simon, GCSE)
“There is hard work to be done in Biology. But the lessons with Maria were demanding and very enjoyable
at the same time. Never thought I would manage to get A in the final exam!” (Kostas, A-Level)
“I started lessons with Maria last year, when I was in Year 12, and continue this year as well. The quality
of her teaching is excellent. She is a friendly and consistent tutor whose support has been essential
  throughout the 6
  th
form. Thanks for all the help Maria!” (Vicky, IB HL)
“I would highly recommend Maria as a Biology tutor, to anyone who is ready to follow instructions and
work hard. Maria teaches well and knows which details to highlight in each topic so you can prioritise
  your studying”. (Katiana, Int. A-Level)
“We had some lessons on Organisms and Ecosystems. Maria explained them to me in a very simple
manner and helped me understand every topic I was struggling with”. (Matthew, KS3)
“Maria taught me Biology for the IB DP programme. We had lessons twice a week. Generally, she
introduces topics in a comprehensible way and explains a lot. I got “6” in the final exam, which I very much
owe to Maria’s support these two years”. (Debbie, IB SL)
“In short, Maria will teach you well and with a great deal of patience. Nevertheless, she will insist on you
doing the homework and participating in the lessons. She’s a good tutor”. (Vassiliki, IGCSE)
“Maria gave lessons to my daughter when she was in Year 8. What I liked the most was the level of
interactiveness. Maria would keep asking questions, on and on, so my daughter didn’t lose focus.
Following her suggestion, we bought a drawing tablet so the virtual whiteboard could be shared —
that was quite efficient and Sophie, my daughter, absolutely loved it!” (for Sophie, KS3)
“Definitely a strong tutor with solid knowledge of her subject. She won’t go on with the syllabus if you
haven’t fully understood. She will keep repeating that it’s not your fault but hers; that she hasn’t explained
properly. A thoughtful tutor”. (Paul, A-Level)
“I don’t know how she did it but Maria would always emphasize the things that I found most challenging,
even before asking her anything. It was as if she could read my mind! Detailed in her explanations,
Maria will scaffold her teaching, break up the learning into chunks and so make the lessons interesting”.
  (Tia, Int. A-Level)
  Physics
“George has a good pedagogical approach plus a very friendly personality. Maria, my year 7 daughter,
would always look forward to the lessons. George is also our tutor for this year”. (for Maria, KS3)
“I was really stuck in Connected particles and Pulleys. In just a few lessons George gave me a clear insight
on how these things work. Now I can solve any question on the topic without sweating. You will have
no problem keeping up with George’s teaching, it’s quite straightforward”. (Konstantina, A-Level)
“Through our lessons George helped me build confidence in physics fast, a subject I didn’t much enjoy
before. Now, I like solving questions that are challenging. Something I wouldn’t even dream of a few
months ago! I totally recommend George, he’s a good tutor”. (Denis, I-GCSE)
“We worked in a group of three with George and the quality of teaching was excellent. George has his way
of making everyone take part, instead of sitting back and be a passive listener. The lessons were far from
boring. End of year we got some great results”. (Abby, Timur, Helen, Int. A-Level)
“George will have high expectations from you because, at the same time, he will show high professiona-
lism himself. He will explain each question down to the last detail, there is no way you will not get it!
But that is half the work. The other half depends on you, on your work ethic. So if you want to get a high
mark, you better start working. That’s what I did and got an A grade. Thanks for the support George!”
  (Angelos, A-Level)
“George helped me out during the IB DP years. With his support I moved up more than two grades (finally
got a 6). He is a fine teacher, organised, good listener and with proper resources. Pay attention to his
lessons and you’ll definitely improve your marks”. (Alexander, IB HL)
“Even though we had only two months of lessons before the final exam, George managed to fill in the
gaps that I had in Waves, Magnetic fields and Space physics. Now that I look back, I wish I had started the
  lessons earlier”. (Matina, GCSE)
“George sure knows how to teach from distance. He’s using the writing pad skillfully alongside with his
pdfs. He will engage you into dialogue (so you won’t fall asleep by the conventional monologue-teaching)
and generally you will have an easy going lesson. Trust me, time will fly without you realising it”.
  (Ken, Int. A-Level)
“A good and friendly tutor. Helped me in Year 9 Science. I improved in school, raised my grades.
Now I feel more confident. This year, he’s helping me in GCSE. I highly recommend him!” (Veronica, KS3)
  Greek
“My daughters were fortunate and honoured to learn modern Greek, literature, poetry and history
under the guidance of such a talented teacher”. (for Maria & Argyro, A-Level)
“Katerina is a teacher who works closely with her students with love and passion, inspiring them to go
the extra mile and achieve exceptional results in the final exam”. (for Kira, I-GCSE)
“Good methodology and ability to transmit knowledge building, at the same time, excellent relationship
with the student. Katerina is a great tutor”. (Irene, I-GCSE)
“Under Katerina’s guidance my son got A*. She’s an excellent educator and philosopher who enjoys
the thrill of getting her students to think and question”. (for Ioannis, GCSE)
“Η κυρία Κατερίνα ήταν δασκάλα και των δύο παιδιών μου […] Τα ελληνικά τους ήταν μέτρια και η αγάπη
τους για τη γλώσσα ανύπαρκτη. Εκείνη το άλλαξε αυτό και σύντομα […]. Τα παιδιά μου σημείωσαν
θεαματική πρόοδο και αρίστευσαν στις τελικές εξετάσεις”. (for Giorgos & Fotis, A-Level)
“Πέραν απ’ την άρτια κατάρτισή της και την πολυετή της πείρα, η Κατερίνα διακρίνεται για την αγάπη της
προς τους μαθητές και τη συνεχή υποστήριξή τους καθ’ όλην τη χρονιά. Μετά από χρόνια μαθητείας
των παιδιών μου σε διάφορα σχολεία είναι η πρώτη φορά που συναντώ τέτοιας ποιότητας
εκπαιδευτικό”. (for Anastasia, Ellie & Nikos, I-GCSE)
“Never thought I would find modern Greek that interesting! Katerina made me appreciate literature
(especially poetry, she’s a Cavafy expert!) and helped me realise that there is one Greek language in
different forms since ancient times”. (Matina, I-GCSE)
“Καλός δάσκαλος είναι αυτός που καλλιεργεί την κριτική σκέψη και εσωτερικεύει αξίες μέσα απ' το ταξίδι
τής διδασκαλίας. Ακριβώς ό,τι κάνει η κυρία Κατερίνα στο μάθημά της. Θα μάς λείψει πολύ !”.
  (Tia, A-Level)
  (Year 12 class)
“Not only Katerina has taught me Greek language but also Greek Philosophy, Literature, History
  — even Greek geography! She's an amazing teacher and an amazing person. Με βοήθησε να βελτιώσω
τα ελληνικά μου αλλά και τον τρόπο με τον οποίον βλέπω τον κόσμο”. (Jeanette, A-Level)
“Η Κατερίνα ξεφεύγει απ' την πεπατημένη. Με το ιδιαίτερο προσωπικό της εκπαιδευτικό στυλ φροντίζει
για την εν γένει καλλιέργεια τού μαθητή ξεπερνώντας το σύνηθες επίπεδο τού καθηγητή.
Είναι αυτό που λέμε παιδαγωγός — πράγμα σπάνιο στις μέρες μας”. (for Agni, KS4)
“Μια απόδραση απ' την καθημερινή σχολική ρουτίνα. Μια δυνατότητα ελεύθερης έκφρασης, υπεύθυνης
σκέψης και πάνω απ' όλα ένα μέσον για ν' ανοίξουμε τα μυαλά μας!”. (Thanos, A-Level)
